Scheduled Mastercard Service Interruption

Dear Valued Client

Access Bank, our sponsoring bank for Payaccsys Cards and Accounts, has informed us of a mandatory Data Centre Migration, which affects their Mastercard processing connection. Mastercard has now confirmed the logistics for this relocation, and the activity is scheduled as follows: 

Risk Time Duration: Up to 11 hours (as per Mastercard’s official guidance)
Start: Thursday, 20th of November 2025 at 23:00 SAST
End: Friday, 21st of November 2025 at 10:00 SAST

SERVICES IMPACTED:

During this period, there will be a full outage of card transaction processing routed through Mastercard. This includes:

  • POS transactions
  • eCommerce transactions
  • ATM withdrawals

These services will resume once Mastercard completes the relocation and confirms successful restoration.

SERVICES NOT IMPACTED:

The following services will continue to operate normally:

  • EFT, RTC, and SWIFT incoming transactions
  • Card management features

Our team, together with Access Bank and Mastercard, will actively monitor the process throughout the maintenance window to ensure a smooth relocation and restore services as quickly as possible. We will send a confirmation once the migration has been completed and card transactions are fully available again.
